What You'll Learn
Nitrox isn't complicated — it's chemistry you can actually use. In your online coursework you'll get a solid handle on how enriched air affects your body, how to calculate your limits for a given mix, and why nitrox is a smart tool for any diver who wants more flexibility in the water. The in-person session puts that knowledge to work: we'll walk through tank analysis, set up your dive computer correctly for the mix you're diving, and make sure you leave with the confidence to use nitrox on any dive, anywhere.

Midwest School of Diving has been teaching divers in the Twin Cities for over 40 years. We're a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Center, which means the instructors teaching this course are trained and evaluated to a higher standard than most dive shops can offer.
What makes the nitrox course here a little different is that we actually blend gas. We don't just hand you a premixed tank and call it a day — our team understands enriched air from the ground up, and that expertise comes through in how we teach it. When you learn to analyze a tank here, you're learning from people who've blended thousands of them.
After you certify, you can get your fills right here. Same shop, same team, no running around town to find a blending station. That continuity matters, especially when you're building a new skill.
Our staff includes four ERDI instructors — the most capable technical and public safety diving team in the upper Midwest. That depth of knowledge doesn't disappear when we step into a recreational classroom. It makes every course better.
